The Basics

SchoolWeek helps parents organize school communications using AI. By using SchoolWeek, you agree to these terms.

Beta Program

SchoolWeek is currently in beta. This means:

• The service is free during the beta period.
• Features may change, break, or be removed as we improve the product.
• We may have occasional downtime or service interruptions.
• We appreciate your feedback — it directly shapes what we build next.

Your Account

• You need a valid email address to create an account.
• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use SchoolWeek.
• One account per person, please.

What You Can Do

• Forward school communications (emails, newsletters, flyers) to your SchoolWeek address for AI extraction.
• Paste text from school messages (texts, app notifications) into SchoolWeek.
• View, organize, and manage extracted items for your children.

What You Shouldn't Do

• Don't forward content that isn't related to school communications.
• Don't attempt to abuse the service (mass forwarding, automated submissions, or anything that could overload our systems).
• Don't use SchoolWeek to store sensitive information beyond what's in normal school communications (like medical records or financial information).
• Don't share your account with others.

AI Extraction — Please Read This Part

SchoolWeek uses AI to extract events, to-dos, and information from your school communications. This is the most important section:

• AI makes mistakes. Dates, details, or items may occasionally be wrong. Always double-check important deadlines against the original communication.
• AI is not a substitute for reading important communications. For critical items (medical forms, legal documents, emergency information), always refer to the original source.
• We're always improving. Your feedback helps us make the AI better. Use the bug report button on any card to let us know when something's off.

Your Data

• You own your data. We don't claim any rights to the school communications you forward to us.
• Your data is automatically cleaned up: extracted items and communications are deleted 14 days after their date, and attachment files are deleted after 7 days.

• You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing hello@schoolweek.fyi.

Our Responsibilities

• We'll do our best to keep SchoolWeek running and your data secure.
• We'll notify you of significant changes to the service or these terms.
• We'll handle your data according to our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

SchoolWeek is provided “as is” during the beta period. We do our best, but:

• We're not liable for missed deadlines, events, or other consequences of AI extraction errors.
• We're not liable for service interruptions or data loss.
• We're not liable for any damages arising from your use of SchoolWeek.
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us (which during beta is $0).

In plain English: SchoolWeek is a helpful tool, not a guarantee. Always verify important information from the original source.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as SchoolWeek evolves. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email. Continuing to use SchoolWeek after changes means you accept the updated terms.
